“He’s off the breathing tube. So he’s breathing on his own now, which is amazing for what he went through,” said his mother Oanh Le. “So it’s pretty rough right now, but by the grace of all the prayers he’s going to get through this.”

Walter Grebe of Muskego has been charged with hit-and-run causing great bodily harm.

Prosecutors say officers were able to use a license plate left at the scene to track him down.
