Man accused of intentionally killing a pedestrian with his car enters no plea

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The gentleman accused of a fatal strike and run did not enter a plea all through his arraignment Wednesday in Multnomah County Court docket.

Frederick Moore, 40, was arrested Tuesday and charged with next-diploma murder and hit and run for allegedly killing a pedestrian with his vehicle on the corner of Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast Heart Avenue. According to court documents, Moore has a prior murder and robbery conviction in Washington Condition. Investigators believe Moore deliberately strike a pedestrian who died at the scene.

Michael Months was ending up his change at perform close by when he read an engine roar. Protection camera footage reveals the roar came from a red truck close by.

“I was totally shocked,” Weeks mentioned. “I cannot consider somebody would do one thing like that.”

Investigators believe that the pink truck was pushed by Moore. Months viewed the truck strike the pedestrian, dragging the overall body throughout the street. The truck then utilized a driveway to flip all around. Security cameras caught Weeks hopping into his automobile and driving off to chase the suspect.

“I just want to stand up for other persons mainly because there’s no place in turning your back again on other men and women,” Weeks reported. “We’re all people we all need someone to look out for each individual other.”

Weeks found the purple truck and Moore in a park nearby. But at the time, he did not know Moore was as suspect.

“He appeared so cold and cordial,” Months reported. “He was using tobacco a cigar as if absolutely nothing took place. So it threw me off mainly because I did not essentially know it was him until I went above the cameras.”

Weeks did get notice of the license plate and gave it to Portland police. He believes this served arrest Moore and maybe cease yet another pedestrian from getting run over.

“I’m happy I went just after the dude,” Moore stated. “At minimum I obtained his license plate and I saw his confront simply because if I didn’t do that he would’ve been free.”

Though a suspect is driving bars, Weeks mentioned the sights and appears of Monday evening are burned into his memory.

“It was chilling, scary, just listening to the truck bounce on the guy, and hearing the person just screaming, it’ll be with me for good,” Week said.

Moore’s upcoming court docket overall look will be on June 16th. The target still has not been determined.
