A male has been charged in Wagoner County following deputies uncovered a chop store on his assets.
The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office states this just one arrest is heading to make a big dent in the selection of stolen cars in that place. Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott says Robert Merrill is responsible for a great deal of auto thefts that happen in Wagoner County.
Elliott says this investigation started off in April when deputies were browsing for a stolen automobile from Tulsa that was identified in Catoosa. The property where by they uncovered the vehicle belonged to Robert Merrill. They also discovered several other stolen cars and trucks on the residence.
Many of the cars had incorrect VIN quantities and missing pieces, deputies also observed quite a few auto keys.
Sheriff Elliott states this will not likely be tolerated in Wagoner County.
“That is what they do, they go out, they prey on other people, they steal cars, they lower them up, they offer the pieces, chop retailers have been about endlessly, they’re heading to go on to be close to, it is a valuable business enterprise for them, of system until eventually they get caught,” Elliott claimed.
Merrill has been billed with various expenses like proudly owning and functioning a chop store, possession of a stolen automobile, and possession of a controlled material.
